Geographic Highlights Crawford County, established in 1800, is located in the northwestern corner of Pennsylvania. Its ideal location places it within a two hours or less driving range to the larger cities of Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cleveland and Erie with easy access via major throughways. The county covers 1,013 square land miles ranging from the meadows and valleys of rolling hills in the western section of the county to the near mountainous regions of the Allegheny Plateau in the eastern part.
